Hi everyone. I'm current on a CAP (combined antibiotic protocol), a modified version one of the cpnhelp.org one's. Anyway, I did my second or third tinidazole pulse about 10-20 days ago. I was doing 500mg 2x a day. I should have started lower and slower. I guess either I was stupid or overly ambitious.

Anyway, I made it to about day 3-4. I was having a rough time at work and was already stressed out. I was experiencing shakiness and severe throbbing headaches from the tinidazole.

I'd just like to point out, that once I changed my diet to avoid sugars a couple years ago, I almost never got a headache. Now I've had them non-stop since the last tinidazole pulse.

Did it cause some kind of potentially permanent nerve damage in my brain or something? Does anybody think I can expect it to get better or could it possibly be (semi)-permanent? If it might get better, about how long should I expect until that happens?

I'm sorry you had rough time. I've been on Tinidimax in the past twice. I was on 500mg 3X day for 3 months at a time.

I did get headaches but only during the herxes.

I hope you figure something out to make it easier on your body.

Maybe someone here will have ideas.

Different treatments give me headaches too. The Lyme bacteria are inside the nucleus and control the inflammatory response. It may be their way of keeping the treatments out.

Yeah I don't even consume tinctures with alcohol in it. I was just wondering if anybody had a similar experience with tini or flagyl. And if so how long after discontinuation it took them for the headaches to go away.
