How would one undergo IV therapy if they live a great distance from the LLMD?

My doctor is in NY and I live in NH.
My doctor calls in the perscription to an infussion company that sends a months worth of meds for the month.
Then I have someone from the Visiting Nurses Association come out once a week to change my needle and dressing, take blood work and vitals and reports back to the doctor.
I may not be the best set up, but so far it has been working.

Make sure the home health/infusion therapy company is alright accepting orders from your doctor if they're not in the same state as him. I hit this snag once, and it sucked.
I've only ever lived in the same state as my LLMD for 10 months... I'm always travelling out of state to them, and it's never been a problem (except for that one time, and it was cleared up with minimal effort from me).
