I found this post on canlyme.com/forum. It is not my post. I wonder if ozone treatment would help gum problems at all :

"Hello everyone,
I feel I must share my experience because it is, for me, an interesting event in Lyme treatment.

Five years ago, I had a sudden deafness, balancing problems and it never stopped deteriorating. I have been prescribed Abx for 4 years and results were always ups and downs. I had around 30 symptoms.

I have never been able to return to work neither to a normal life. I lived hell periods where I was so sick and thought I would never get out of this. I was convinced that no medicine could help me out of this illness.

It would be too long to explain but someone has put an illuminated being on my route, a microbiologist who also had been infected by Lyme.

Long before starting Abx, an analysis of my saliva revealed the presence of spirochetes and immediately related all my atypical health problems to the illness.

Sometimes ago she contacted me and suggested a detailed treatment plan which I shall detail later. The essential of the treatment relies on the destruction of the source of infection inside the mouth.

To make this happen, it is required to inject procain in order to change the cellular milieu and make the spirochetes die. A dentist can make these injections.

Small envelopes of infection are maturing into the gums and these can rarely be seen on a panorex or a radiography.

I have received several injections during the past 5 months and since then I constated the biggest improvements.

Today I am still sick but I had extraordinary journeys and long periods who allowed me to go back to a normal life. It is the first time since the beginning of this illness and that is very important for me.

I keep on receiving injections every 2 weeks, I remain positive and I keep praying.

I wish there were other Lymies who receive this treatment. All is needed is to find a dentist who accepts to do this type of intervention (neural therapy).

Procain, concentration 2%
No preservative = very important

I wonder if this treats the same problem treated by oil pulling.

Angelica -- do you know how it is that the procaine works against the spirochetes? I have never heard of it being used as a lyme killer.

I wonder if Gigi has some thoughts on this.

Thank you.

In his book, "Healing Lyme. . ." Buhner mentions an andrographis gum gel.

In his book, "Healing Lyme. . ." Buhner mentions an andrographis gum gel.

That is not easily found, so when I take my tablets, I'll let one roll around my mouth for a while. Its a very bitter experience but since I've been doing that, my mouth is so much better.

I had lots of aphthous ulcers and burning mouth for four solid years. It was nearly unbearable. I would nearly double over in pain from my mouth.

Now - ulcers and burning - all gone. Totally. Gums look great (although still some tissue loss from years of untreated infection).

It's been a few months now taking and using this in the mouth. I still can't get used to the idea that I can eat a salad without mouth torture.

I had tried neem before and it did not work nearly as well as the andrographis.

The new Philips Sonicare electric toothbrush is also amazing. It's far better than the model I got years ago. It's very expensive but just saved me so much in dental cleanings - and less time with noisy equipment in my mouth.

This is just one place to get Andrographis:

Sorry I do not know anything about procaine but if you go to canlyme.com/forum I bet the original poster would know.

********************************

I thought Buhner did not recommend andrographis for chronic Lyme disease. I could see the gel being used but not tablets being taken internally.

*********************************

My gums have improved since I stopped eating too many nuts which were making me more acid then alkaline so I do think diet is important and Gigi mentioned herpes can also attack the gums.

Nuts can also induce herpes if you already have herpes and eat too many of them.

Names are similar. It's astragalus (other than in small amounts as part of a formula) that is not recommend for chronic infections.

Andrographis is the cornerstone of the treatment for chronic lyme - in this book.

Thanks Angelica -- I will have to do some research on it. I *don't doubt her story, but I simply wonder how the mechanics work in changing the milieu enough to kill spirochetes. I think I have heard something vaguely about procaine being a catalyst somehow, but just can't recall much else.

Do ask. It is really easy to register at the canlyme.com/forum and the people there are very friendly.

I would like to find out more about gums and spirochetes.

The simple method is to use MMS and swish it in your mouth and swallow it. It is water soluble and will work after you swallow it.

I do not have Lyme but my gums improved in a short time by using this method. The hygienist was rather impressed with my only improvement in my history with this dentist.

I tried using MMS for my gum issues but it seemed to irritate my gum more.

My acupuncturist said for some people it can be hard on their system so you can always try swishing it around and spitting it out and some still goes into your system.

What has worked to improve my gums more than anything is eating less acid foods to improve my alkaline balance which means avoiding too many nuts and not eating things like chard or spinach. I oil pull every morning as well.
