I don't know if it's bs...but I've been taking it over 3 months with no difference and don't plan on buying another bottle. I think many such supplements may make difference with mild fatigue, but Lyme is stronger than any supplement I've encountered.

Are you talking about NT Factor Energy by researched nutritionals?

Sixgoofykids swears by that product.

Fatigue is one of my worst symptoms. My doctor recommended it. I've been taking it and I do feel that it helps.

I started out taking the recommended dose and felt that it helped a lot. Then I took the product to my herbalist who muscle tests and she said the full dose was interferring with something else that we were working on so now I'm only taking 1 2X per day.

When I try to go off, I do feel more fatigued. I've tried twice in the last few months. Since even a little less fatigue is important for me, I continue to take it. I would guess at the low dose that I'm on it helps by around 20%.

Sounds like it depends on the person as to whether it helps or not.

Thanks... I know Dr. B mentions it so I was wondering if it was actually helping people.

I just ordered some from Researched Nutritionals as recommnded by Dr. B. The first two months you take high doses like 6 a day to help the mitochondria, and then drop to half that many for the following months.

By 4 weeks, it helps halfway, by 8 weeks one should feel the difference the rep told me.

For 20% increase in energy, I'll go for it even though it's dicey.

Cheryl, let me know how you make out with it. I have a couple of bottles but have not started yet. I have Mitochondria Ignite from Prohealth. Expensive but worth a try.

I didn't feel that it helped me much. I didn't think it was worth the money.

Sparke7, which brand did you use? Dr. B only recommends Researched Nutritionals. I wonder if that made a difference?

Also, what dose were you on and for how long?

The buy at RN said that for the first two months I had to double the doses and then cut back to the regular dose. He said in 4 weeks I'd feel half better, and then by 8 weeks I'd feel the full effect.

My doctor recommended that I take this too. I haven't taken it. It contains bovine colostrum. My fiance and friends worried about me tyring it for that reason.

From my reserach on here, few people have been able to say that they noticed a difference. Most said they couldn't tell one way or the other.

I want to do everything that I can to feel better, so I worry that I should be taking this as well.

I have held off. It looks like most people still don't know if it helps.

I noticed a dramatic difference but for the price why not consider D-Ribose, which is supposed to do the same thing, and be cheaper?

Corvalen Labs.

Venus, I think your talking about Transfer factor. Its a different product than nt factor.

Ive been taking Nt factor for a little over a month and i can say ive seen improvements in my energy. I will continue to take it for a few months although it is pretty expensive.

I've been taking it for a while - I take 4 (2 2x/day)

At first I wasn't sure if it was helping but now when I have run out I definitely notice a difference.

My LLMD said some really seem to benefit from it and others not so much.

Dr. H. had me try it and it did nothing for me, so I stopped because whatever they were selling in his office was expensive.

The studies suggest that it needs to be taken for several weeks for benefit to be noticed. Of course, maybe that's just the way they bleed ya dry. [Smile]

I think D-ribose is also mentioned in the book, From Fatigued to Fantastic...

The CFS doc Dr. C mentioned in his CD that D-Ribose fails in 1/3 of his patients. They can't metabolize that sugar, and they become toxic.

I feel toxic on D-Ribose.

BTW, what's in NT Factor?

There are different companies that use the trademarked product. Here's the label from the one I was trying:

NT factor per brochure is

FREE OF

starch, salt, what, dairy products, animal by-products, artificial flavoring & coloring, animal stearic acid, digestible plastics, sugar, gluten, and casein

However, it does contain nutrients derived from soybean, vitamins, rice bran extract, molasses, leek, pre and probiotics, etc.

Jocus20,
You are right I was confusing NT Factor with Transfer Factor.

Sorry everyone. There are not bovine products in NT Factor. I have never used it. .

The problem is when to take it. It was suggested the loading dose as 3 tablets. Either two at each meal, or 3 aat two meals.

Meal time is when I take my abx. The pre and probiotics will cancel the abx.

Anyboty have experience with NT Factor?
What did you do?

Thanks,
CherylSue
