I have been reading alot about how metal fillings, root canals, and implants can be bad for us. I totally agree as my last (and only) root canal was so horrible for me and I have been trying to get dentists to only use white filling on me for along time now.
Although my last dentist even though I had said white filling, used some amalgam as a "base" to fill a deep pocket in the tooth. I was so upset about it and other issues that I am no longer going to that dentist.
Unfortunately I can't get that metal removed for now as the tooth may not have enough good enamel left to dig out the metal without needing a crown on it. So for now until me other teeth get fixed up its gonna have to stay. Hopefully its not much.
My biggest issue is this though. The tooth I had removed with the bad root canal was the very last molar on the top left. Because it was the last one there is no way to use a bridge to replace it as it doesnt have 2 surrounding teeth to bridge between.
So does anyone know what I can do to replace the missing tooth if we can't get implants?
I'm worried my other teeth are now starting to spread out on me and also I will most likely have to loose its mirror twin on the bottom jaw very soon due to decay massive amounts of amalgam and there prolly isnt enough tooth left to crown.
Also I wanted to double check that ceramic crowns are safe for us. Or are we all doomed to be gap toothed if we want health?

My LLMD explained to me that its not that we can't have root canals its just that they need to be done proper.
A typical dentist will drill into the tooth, put in a post and cover with a crown. MY LLMD explained that what should be done it drill into a tooth, fill with composite filling of sorts, the put in post and cover with a crown.
He basically stated that when a tooth is cover but not filled correctly that leaves an area when there is no blood flow and hence no oxygen.
And the Spirocetes just love living where nothing can get them.
I don't know if I helped at all just passing along some knowledge from my LLMD. Hopefully someone else can help more.
