Sulfur MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane). I was told to take 1000mg a day of this for nerve damage. I still haven't found it anywhere locally.
Has anyone any experience with this supplement? Was it helpful? Did you have any side effects?

Wow, vivid dreams I sure don't need, I'm only averaging about 4-5 hours of sleep as it is. I know we are each different biologically so when I start taking it I'll report my experience.
I'll for sure start slow. I did read lots of information on it and there's lots of glowing reports but I really would like to know from real people who have tried it, how it worked for them.
Thank you dguy and keebler for your input.

I take 2000 mg a day and I've noticed that my nerve issues are lessened as well as joint pain.

Just posted recently on MSM.
I have a bulk can of it from Bio-Alternatives. A few days ago I bumped up my daily dose from 1/4 tsp to 2 tsp.
The difference is significant for me. I am quite well, but it reduces my recovery time after exercise.
In other words, I am in physical rehab and have been in constant pain from weight lifting (same as when I was really suffering from lyme disease) and now the pain is almost gone.
MSM increases your ability to produce glutathione in the liver, reducing the herx experience.
There are several posts on MSM if you do a search.

Thank you Sunshiny for the link. I've had no luck finding it at the local health food store. I do wish I had a credit card, that would make it alot easier to shop on line.
Dawnee, joint pains are my primary issue at the moment. Thanks for the encourgement.
Bejoy, I hear that Bio-Alternatives has a good reputation for their quality. I like the idea of bulk. Can it be put in capsules? It just doesn't sound like something tasty.
I find that if I have a question its easier for me to track one post. I do appologize if this is a repeat question for some of you. I am barely able to concetrate to search for much of anything and I get lost too easy. sometimes I totally forget what I was looking for to begin with.
Thank you again everyone

I like the Bio-Alternatives product, and my body likes it. It doesn't taste like much of anything.
I'm sitting here drinking some plain in water right now, and I can hardly taste it, so you could add it to just about anything. So I wouldn't worry about the capsules for this particular supplement.
You might be able to find it on line, and then send in an order with a check or money order. I don't know for sure these days. Or you could give a friend a check and have them order it with a card.
