This started months ago..I dismissed it...like so many other things.
When I would lay down to go to sleep, and the lights were off, but still enough light to see, the vision in my right eye would go completely dark until I focused on something else. Then it would happen again. My vision looking like an iris closing up.
I guess it has gotten worse. Once I turn out the lights, its odd. I can see out of my left eye. But the right is like I'm looking through smoke. Very thick smoke.
Now, it is happening in the light.
Anyone have lyme affect their vision like this?

I have neuroborreliosis which is by far the worse on my right side. This includes ringing in my right ear, swollen gland, eye problems, etc. As my condition improves, this has lessened but when I took an eye supplement (Rainbow Light Complete Eye Care System), there was significant improvement. I don't know if it matters what brand you take.
It is scary to have your eye acting up but there are things you can do. The spirochetes don't like heat so I applied a hot water bottle to my head and eyes, applied Vicks and other smelly things there, and applied Everclear as well.
Good luck

Might be lyme. Bart also causes eye problems.
You might want to have an eye doc check this out, look for detached retina. Does it come and go?

Hi You should see an eye doc to evaluate it. It could be optic neuritis amongst other things. Basically nerve damage from the Lyme.
Antibiotics and co-infection treatment, B12 injections should help. If you do see a doc, do not let them give you steroids or a steroid injection tho!
Optic neuritis usually resolves on its own if it is that. Your LLMD should prescribe treatment to help

Miranda-see an opthamologist ASAP. It could be many things, but it's not normal. Don't take a wait and see approach with your eyes. Some things can happen that are not reversible. Best wishes and keep us posted!
