Hi, I was just thinking last week (but forgot to post it) that if you haven't already to send your LLMD a Christmas Card just to thank them for their service! Before I relapsed my third time I worked in a NICU as an RN and we received many cards from patient's families. We tacked them onto the secretary's door which we walked by every day and it really was a reminder of the appreciation of our work and made me smile.
In fact, my daughter and I are making my LLMD homemade fudge, which of course I should not be eating, but he can.(I will take one nibble though!!! Tee-hee-hee!!!)
Thanks for reminding everybody that "Tis The Season!!!!!"

I was sitting on the fence with wondering whether or not to do this.

I'm going to do mine right now! Lisa, mmmmmmm fudge, now I'm drooling, sounds soooo good!
We had so many families bring in goodies into the nicu, we were a bunch of well fed nurses (plus we always had a potluck for any occasion!), one family used to bring in a cake made from a gourmet bakery every month their baby was in our unit, they brought a huge one the day she finally went home!

Or perhaps just a holiday card. I know mine is Jewish, his partner is Muslim, and am sure there are others who do not celebrate Christmas. I'll add him to my list, though, since my card is not religious this year.

I always bring some kind of gift to my PT etc. but never even thought about him. Usually it's fruit, because we all know that sugar is a bad, bad thing.
The chiro I used to see was the one who got me to stop eating sugar in the first place, even before diagnosis. I made her fudge the first year, but gave her fruit every year after that. I no longer have the need to see her, as my PT takes care of alignment issues also.

We buy our LLMDa gifts at each holiday and bake the office a bunch of goodies--they go crazy for it!! It's nice to show them they're appreciated

I was wondering something along the same lines the other day. I am under the care of a few doctors, and a couple of them are Jewish. I was wanting to send one of them a cute Holiday flower bouqet for their office.
But most of them are red and green or red and white.....even if it says "Happy Holidays"....is that tacky to send something red and green, because to me red and green screams Christmas? I have been wondering what the overall appearance of the bouqet should be to make it less specific to one holiday.
Maybe I am over thinking this, I am just uncomfortable sending something that looks like I am ignorant of someone's faith.

We usually send a big box of citrus fruit from a Florida grove for the whole office and then bring a little something else to the LLMD to our December visit. I think (hope) the fruit is a hit.
