I have no idea why; and according to the literature put out by Igenex themselves, their test are the best. I think mainly that LD is made based on a clinical diagnosis, so the test just aren't as important as some would like to think.

That is NOT true. Mine is from NJ and she uses Igenex all the time.
Maybe you do not have a very good Lyme Literate doctor, or they really arent one in the first place.

i know when i had tests done there, one test was not approved, they told me they hold all blood 72 hrs before it is sent or tested so if i could get the approval i could still get it done with my other test."told not to repeat that" my dr. stated thats why he wont use them

WHO told you WHO holds blood for 72 hours.
Igenex insists on patient NOT shipping blood later in the week just so as to prevent that.
Was it the drawing lab holding it ? A hospital lab?
Curious. Something sounds fishing. Igenex does not just sit for 72 hours on a sample that has come in before they attend to it. I guarantee that!
And, on the off chance that something like that may have happened once, it would have been a mistake that I am sure they would have corrected - with apologies - by getting a fresh sample from the patient.
Now, could it be that results took 72 hours? That would be different.
I'd love to clear this up if you have more details.
Was the doctor an ILADS LLMD ?
I am very concerned that inaccurate information about Igenex could be getting passed around.

If the docs are covered under insurance, they may use labs approved by the insurance companies.
Since lyme is a clinical diagnosis (tests are used to support diagnosis, not determine it), they may not opt to have you pay out-of-pocket for expensive tests from IgeneX.
Just a thought....

My doc uses Labcorp also; and he is an ILADS memeber. I went directly to the Lab. Actually my WB from Labcorp cost more than what people are paying to have it done by Igenex. If I understand it right Igenex WB cost appoximately $200.00. Labcorp was $385.00. Insurance paid it though.
I think too many people freak out about the darn test. None of them are 100% accurate. I know that some people test negative on Igenex and positive on Labcorp. The main thing is having a LLMD that bases his diagnosis on a clinical one.
