The meaning of "equivocal" depends on who is giving the test! it basically seems to mean "could possibly be interpreted as negative", even in cases where there are many positive markers, usually for the purpose of justifying a criminal ...'insurance'... company's refusing to pay for treatment. DaveS
(wikipedia should DEFINITELY have the definition!)
