I agree with Betty, RESEARCH is a good one!
Maybe also SHARE, get the word out about this awful disease. There still aren't a lot of people out there who know what lyme disease is or know very much about it.

Don't take ANY secondhand information, doctor's advice included, as the final word on anything. Always research the ramifications of a decision for yourself before you make it.

Trust. Right now, there are still doctors around who can help you stay alive and maybe even cure you. Of course, we all lost that trust in doctors when we first set out, but for now, there are still doctors out there who can help you and maybe even cure you. There is still some goodness in this world, and hopefully, it is growing. As stupid as it sounds, trust, again, because right now, for God only knows what reasons, a few are still allowed to treat us. Why this is, I do not know, for many have already died.

The big one I haven't seen listed -- COINFECTIONS .
Need to remember that almost everyone is treating multiple infections/toxins -- everything from tickborne infections to viruses to heavy metals such as mercury or lead to parasites.

Wow. Those are Great.. I am glad I asked.. and I know it is hard to think of One thing..
What a great list.. It is interesting to see out of all our experiences and our time working on this disease to pick something to pass on as advice.
I will honestly say I have trouble with that one word and I think it would have to end up being
Educate
This leads you to all the other things on the list.

If we can only use ONE word, I'd have to say:
RESEARCH
But under research, comes much of what has already been recommended.
Seeing the best LLMD you can afford, which implies you will get: -proper testing and/or clinical diagnoses -appropriate & aggressive treatment -adequate detox, supplements, and other supportive therapies
Research will also help you work with your LLMD and be your own advocate for the above. It will also help you decide which (if any) additional practioners you should add, eg. a naturopath, homeopath, accupuncturist, etc.
