My LLMD is running stool tests today due to diarrhea that refuses to go away. I notied in administering both stool samples that instead of smelling foul as expected, my stool smelled like ripened fruit....any ideas?

Sorry for the gross nature of this question!

I think I had this when I first started antibiotics. Someone told me it was a yeast issue, and to increase my probiotics.

Theralac helped. If I detect that odor, I make sure to take one.

You all make me smile! The more reading I have done I think it is yeast related. I took a Diflucan the night before so I'm thinking it was probably yeast die-off being excreted.

Read a posting on another site of a woman who gave her son Nystatin and noticed the same issues the next day....fun.

At least I won't need as much Febreze!!
