I am going to my LLMD on Monday and asking for considering a clinical dx on babs.

I do not have night sweats or fevers. Also, had a normal IGenex antibody test for babs. I did not have the fish ?? test

My symptoms are severe headache, severe neck stiffness and moderate to severe fatigue.

Can this be babs ? I am not sure if my LLMD will do the old Trial and error thing. ( try some mepron/zithro and see if I herx)

I am stuck at 75 % of health which I am very grateful. Just wanted to get rid of these remaining symptoms

My understanding is that yes, babs tests can also have false negatives like lyme blood tests.

Because new species of babesia keep getting discovered, it is possible that lyme patients might have a variant that is not being tested for.

There might be other reasons also that it is a clinical dx; hopefully others will respond here.

If it were me, I would want to try mepron and zith to see if the remaining symptoms were due to babs. Babs can cause those symptoms that you descrive, to my knowledge.

Some folks with babs have a quick response to mepron/zith -- if you were one of those, you would know within the month during the first bottle of mepron if you were responding. Best wishes.

I would treat for Babs. Most people that don't get well with Lyme treatment and then treat for Babs do get better. I only started to improve once I started treating for Babs.

Exactly .. happens all the time.

I would try OTC artemisinin and zithromax or clindamycin/quinine. Much cheaper trial run. Mepron is like $800 a bottle.

Wow, that is a big price difference between artemisnin and Mepron.

Is Artemisnin as effective?

Can you take it with Flagly and Biaxin.
