Every time I take a dose of doxy my symptoms are exacerbated- head and pain in stomach. Also, I have a burning sensation all over. I have managed to make it to my 4th day but I don't know how much more I can take!!

Does anyone know about this????

katie, you're herxing. You know about that don't you? Unfortunately, with this infernal disease, you have to feel worse before you get better. It really sucks. It's a continual process of taking your meds, feeling worse, then very slowly getting better. And it's going to take what seems like forever.

I do know about herxing, but with every pill I get worse and worse! When will it stop? What about the burning. Can you die from herxing? Should I be taking anything else?

AHHH!!!

I came on here to look up doxy and headache and stomach pain. It didn't happen on 200mg's a day but now on 400mg's a day it has. So I guess that its normal and in time it will pass

katie,

herxing is part of the big pay off meaning herxing is starting to KILL THE SPIROCHETES in our body, and they are loaded from head to toe in every hiding place there is.

so i do hope you can tolerate this to start the 1st big die off of chetes!

you will feel like hell plus, but look at the brighter side we all hope for ... REMISSION! and QUALITY OF LIFE AGAIN. [Wink]

I think you should call your LLMD and see if you can back off the dosage a little.

My LLMD does not advocate pushing through a really bad herx.

He advises us to back off our meds, take benadryl and follow a herx diet.

I started at 200mg a day of doxy just to get my bacterial load down.

After about 6 weeks of this (mind you I herxed the full 6 weeks),

I then went on to 300mg a day.

I only weighed about 110lbs at the time.

Drink lots of water.

Hope you feel better soon.

Hugs,

Geneal
