Hey settler,

I've never personally taken doxy, but I think most any antibiotic can make you feel worse rather quickly. That is a mighty low dose though...

Hopefull others with personal experience will be along shortly.

Lauren

It sounds like herx but it did begin awfully quickly...

I felt terrible like you described 4 weeks after starting doxy. It was a herx reaction and it did get better.

settler,

check this link out...

http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/meds/a682063.html

read about the side effects of doxy, and read over the table of contents for this med.

best wishes. [group hug] [kiss]

when i started doxy or biaxin, my herx started that day also and lasted all 20 months of my pulsed 2 antibiotics.

I do not think you are herxing, especially at such a low dose-- and at every pill. I think Doxy. is not the right med for you, you are having a bad reaction to the drug. Call your LLMD and switch to something not in the "cycline" family. I hope you feel better.
