I want to know if anyone has the following:

Stomach spasms (I think)- sometimes after I go to sleep or sometimes just after lying down I can feel this pain in my stomach and it will knot up across my belly button. I can even watch it go from left to right or vice/versa.

Is that a spasm? And why does it seem to happen when lying down?

Also, does anyone ever eat a full meal, to the point you can't move, ya know STUFFED. Then go to bed shorthly after and awaken hours later and feel like your starving, as if you haven't eaten in days?

I have done both of these for years. And I have a gastro who doesn't really help much. Not sure if it's related to lyme or not.

Anyhow, just wondering if anyone else experiences this.

Thanks

kat, I don't have either one of these problems but I'm bumping up for those that may!

Hi katc,

I get something similar going on. It seems to be a few inches above my navel.

The best way I can describe it is when I was pregnant and the baby would kick. You could watch the little foot or hand poking the skin out as it turned.

It does happen during the day as well but certainly is more noticeable at night while resting.

I have no idea what it is but thought I'd let you know that this happens to me as well. Hopefully someone else can shed some light for us.

Katc,

Interesting, it happens to me so often where I eat a huge meal and then get so hungry after going to bed. I always chalked it up to a really fast metabolism.

I eat a snack every night before bed, otherwise I wake up at 3am with stomach rumbling and so hungry! I have to eat as soon as I get up in the morning or else I get really weak. I wake up hungry almost every day.
