I woke up and felt like usual, as if I got ran over ,beat up, etc. Nothing that I am not used too.

After getting up I feel pressure in my chest/abdomen. Like a tightness. Makes it hard to breathe. But I am breathing!! Just sort of like you just ran a marathon and now you are out of breath.

I also feel pressure in my ears/head.

Actually before I got out of the bed I could hear like a vibration or something in my ear. I even stuck my finger in my ear to see if it would stop and it did.

I am so sick of this, I don't know what it is.

I have had ct on my lungs and they say they are fine. But before that they told me my lungs were hydrainflated like that of an emphysema patient.

But the same doc ordered the ct and said they were normal?

I don't feel this as being asthma. I know people with asthma and are symptoms are diff, some simularity but mostly different.

Plus I know of noone who gets the pressure in there ears.

I also have trouble clearing my throat.

Any suggestions would be great. Maybe this has nothing to do with Lyme. It is so hard to know.

Thanks a lot!

Sorry that I don't know your full story, but all I can say based only on what you have written here....

I see nothing that you are saying as far as symptoms that I haven't been experiencing with my lyme, bart and babs diagnosis.

That is not saying that EVERYTHING is lyme and none of us want to fall into the trap of overlooking another problem that creeps in while we are busy treating lyme.

But yes, the pressure (especially the chest and head in my case), air hunger, vibrations (I feel most of mine in the back of my neck, but it moves around the head) and the list goes on.

I know it doesn't make your symptoms any less to know others are feeling this same nightmare, but there is a comfort in knowing that we aren't losing our mind and that others ARE able to validate that what we are feeling IS very real.

Right now, I'm back on treatment for babesia since I think my LLMD feels many of these symptoms you are discussing that I'm currently dealing with are related to that co-infection.

Time will tell. Good luck and try to hang in there one day at a time.

Cathy

Hi katc-

I think I get these symptoms too, if I am following your descriptions. The only problem is that we can't be sure the same things are causing these symptoms for both of us, or that the symptoms are even exactly the same. I hope that made sense!

Sometimes I have a lot of trouble breathing and feel like it's a struggle for every breath and have this feeling like my lungs are tightening, or my chest is getting bound tighter. SOmetimes I just have to wait out the air hunger and try to distract myself or meditate so I don't get more anxious.

Many times it seems to be the muscle wall in my back and chest that needs massaging a bit, and sometimes that helps a little bit. Other times it seems to be connected to what I call a neuro storm, where I feel like I am vibrating inside and then everything "tightens".

I get buzzing and weird wobbly vibrating and wooshing and popping and pressure in my ears all the time. I have constant tinnitus with ringing in both ears, but these other things happen on top of that. Some of the vibrating in the ears I am pretty sure is related to muscles spasms.

My husband sometimes will turn and see me whapping my ear *lightly* with the palm of my hand to relieve the pressure weirdness - sometimes it helps. Other times I do what you did - wiggle my finger in my ear. I must be good comedic relief for any strangers passing by!

Also I am constantly having to clear my throat, sometimes it is much worse than others. It might be due to several different things, from muscle tightening, to scarring from GURD/Acid reflux (which I have) to sinus drainage, to yeast infection/thrush (if I recall properly).

You might want to check all this out with your LLMD, along with your other symptoms. Hopefully others can add their experiences and advice.

I might get a second opinion on your lungs, if this continues to bother you.

Edit: You should also get your heart looked at in light of the pressure in your chest - this can be a heart symptom, coupled with bretahing problems, so you should rule that out, just to be on the safe side. I don't want to worry you but it's good to be thorough.

I get the clogges ears and feeling something is floating deep in my ear canal...annoying tickle. Throat tightens and tickles, burns..always coughing. I am being treated for Babas now and also have lyme. I woke up last night for the first time with the room spinning.

God Bless Theresa

Yes, Ihave some of those same issues right nnow. My chest feels tight, like I can't breathe even though I can.

I tend to get creative when describing my symptoms. The way I describe the breathing issues is that it feels like when I take a breath in, there's a hole in my lungs that lets some of the air leak out as I breathe in.

I have been tested for asthma--negative--and had chest x-rays--normal.

I also get strange sensations in my ears. Ringing, momentary loss of hearing, a sensation that something in my eustachian tube is swollen.

All over weirdness, and nothing really helps.

So you;re not alone!

oh my God, I just started with the chest pain and throat clearing symptoms last week. I thought it is bronchittis or a bacterail infection, but now I am thinking it is lyme, because the abx they have given me for it has not worked. I can't wait till I talk to my llmd tomorrow, and if he tells me it is lyme (these symptoms came after I have taken flagyl), then I will be sooooooo relieved, becuase I hate seeing quacks, and going to hospitals and always getting negative results, and so if it is lyme, I will just deal with it, and keep taking abx, and I will eventually get better!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the post, I am feeling so much better now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
