I took amox in isolation at 3,000 mg per day for about 3 weeks. I noticed no change whatsoever. I'm still scratching my head at why a bactericidal capsule is less effective than a bacteriostatic capsule.

Ive had luck with both. My first abx was amoxy 3000 mg a day, or maybe 4000, I can't remember. And Ive been on augmentin for a year and that did me wonders too. Also, bicillin kicked A LOT Of symptoms that never returned.
For some reason *my lyme* can't hold up to penicillin drugs.
