Has anyone ever had any nail abmormalities?

I have reddish/brown lines in my nails that look like little splinters.

I looked them up and they are called, appropriately enough, splinter hemorrhages.

They can indicate trauma to the nails, which I haven't had, or can be associated with subacute or acute bacterial endocarditis - an infection of the heart valves.

I have never had any heart related symptoms.

Is this something I should worry about or is it just a side effect of all this medication?

I recently started taking ceftin 500mg twice a day.

I am also on a ton of other things to manage symptoms, etc.

Has anyone else had anything like this? [confused]

Ali
