My son had a PICC line last year for six weeks. You should be given instructions on how to care for your PICC line. It is important to follow them to prevent infection. Administering the drugs is pretty easy; my son was able to do it himself.
Be aware of any signs of problems. My son spiked a hihg fever after not feeling well one day, and sure enough, the PICC line had become infected. That meant a trip to the emergency room and admission to the hospital. We were fortunate that we caught this quickly, so that sepsis did not occur.

GWB,
It's not too bad. Just make sure that you are keeping The PICC line and area in general very clean and dry.
Call your doctor or home health nurse with any complications, never "guess" at what a problem might be.
To search about Picc lines, go to search and enter PICC, not PIC. Lots of previous info there.
Good luck, Feelfit
