I just purchased a bottle of NSI Resveratrol (100 mg.) and I'm looking for input on what dosage and when is the best time of the day to take it?....and if you found it to be beneficial.

The bottle states to take one a day...but not when or with or without food...

thanks!.....dch

I take this stuff 3 times a day as per Buhner Protocol. see the thread linked in my signature for more info about herbal treatment.

i've done well on the buhner combo which includes Japanese Knotweed, the source of your resveratrol probably. I haven't done it alone without the other herbs.

I am not going to be much help. I am still looking for my notes from my lyme doc on how much to take.

I have been just taking what it says on the bottle.

I think two twice a day. I usually take it with my breakfast and lunch.

The book Healing Lyme also talks about reservetrol but I borrowed the book from the library and don't have it any more.

I also talked to the LVN at the lyme doc's office and I think she told me to take what it says on the bottle.

It seems like my lyme doc said to start out with a certain dosage and increase that.

But, I don't recall what he said.

When just starting any new supplement, I think it's a good idea to just take one a day for few days. I try to take them alone, too, leaving out other supplements. This way, I can tell how something - on its own - might affect me. (But, I'm very sensitive and anything even slightly stimulating can trigger seizures for me.)

I am happy to report that I've recently added Resveratrol after a month first on andrographis. I find revers. to be fine for me. I am now up to the directions in the protocol and doing very well.

While andrographis can be rather sedating at first (and that's okay 'cause it really helps in so many other ways), I notice neither sedative nor stimulating action from Resveratrol. This is good.

I used whole herb, jap knotweed per Buhner. I reacted better with the decoctions (boiling the bark fora bout 15-20 minutes if my memory is good) than with any capsule. I needed extremely small amounts to get results or it would be too strong for me (I felt it entering my brain in a few minutes after ingesting the tea).

Go slow as with everything.
Very potent for the brain, brain inflamation and it works for some coinfections too.
