I have been in treatment for a few years now and about 80% better after having it for 13 years before finding out I had Lyme Disease.
Every time I herx I get a bad taste in the roof of my mouth. This happens with abx and other treatments. It taste like a chemicaly, garlicy, and a little sweet taste.
This has happened every time I herx and I would like to know if other people experience the same thing. I read where Lyme Blogger didn't think that toxins were released and I had never seen anyone doubt it before.

I also experience a chemical/metal taste in my mouth that comes and goes. I've been at this lyme & co experience for almost 10 yrs myself.
The last couple days have been really bad days, very toxic feeling and that horrible taste in my mouth. Very well could be a connection.

Hi Pam, Ihear biaxin also gives you a metalic taste but I didn't notice it when I was on it.It looks like you have been in treatment for 6 or 7 years.
Have you found anything that has done good. I am currently not going to doctors anymore.I was doing the tetracycline biaxin/plaquenil rotation. The tetracyline combined with garlic did good in the winter but I would lose ground in the summer with Biaxin/Plaquenil and reherx bad in the winter when I started back on the Tetra. The doctor wouldn't alter this treatment so I stopped going.
I used ASAP brand collodial silver at the end of my Tetracycline and in one week my neck and back pain/spasms cleared up. I have been doing just the collodial silver with tetracyline sometimes and been able to keep it about where it is. I have good days and bad days.

Scroll down to the Hypoglossus nerve that ends in the tongue/tonsil area and is the exit point for a lot of toxins! I not only had a horrible taste in my mouth; my tongue also was pitchblack for a few months. Major toxin exit point.
It pays to make certain that tonsils are not congested - minimum: scrape your tongue in the morning before you do anything else. I use a teaspoon that is very thin at the edge. You would be surprised the "toxins" you can remove and thereby avoid swallowing them and and having to detox them again days down the road.
Maybe sweeten your life with some Xylitol lozenges (Health Food Store) -- they eliminate a couple hundred of bacteria from the mouth that you don't have to fight again elsewhere!
You may want to read the whole article - it is the way I got well many years ago. I would not do it with all the Neural Therapy any more; instead if would use the painless Bionic 880 and homeopathic vials to activate/restore many of these nerves/organs, etc.
Take care.

Betty's POSTING GUIDELINES
When you post or reply, please break up your solid, continuous block text welcome to the board! many of us have neuro lyme where we can NOT read long solid block text and be able to comprehend and read it as is.
please edit your post by CLICKING PAPER/PENCIL ICON to right of your name. that opens up BOTH subject line and body text.
now please break up your WORDY SENTENCES into one sentence paragraphs. Then hit ENTER KEY ``THREE`` after each paragraph; we need that space for comprehension.
if you are NOT a wordy person, you can do 2 or 3 total ok. do this for your entire post.
NOTE: you do NOT have to use "", just show the name of person you are responding to, and then type your comment.
IF you need to use "", PLEASE DELETE "BOLD" CODES so it's regular type text we read vs. the DARK, HARSH/PAINFUL BOLDING.
specifically, delete the first 4 characters of 2ND LINE of a ""
[QB] just delete these 4 characters, and BOLDING is GONE! my eyes will really appreciate that; it's one very bad side effect of my having lyme for 38.5 years!! xox
then go to left hand corner and mark box to receive ALL REPLIES, and click EDIT SEND
we thank you for helping us; otherwise, we will SOB, SCROLL ON BY, since we can't read to help you. If I see posts like this, I SOB them; to hard on me.
LYMETOO'S DR. C'S EXPLANATION OF WESTERN BLOT TESTING!
PRINT THIS OFF the full explanation, and then CIRCLE the numbers that coincide with your positives, IND! That will explain your no. results!
