I'll believe it when I see it. Until then, I'd hold on to my money -- or at the very least, before donating, get some more info besides that website.
You might want to do a search with that doc's name and see if anything interesting comes up.

That doc was in the news a lot several years ago for "curing" an ALS patient who had Lyme. Think the article was in Newsweek. Have read lots of controversial things about him. Think he may have Lyme himself. Not even sure if he is still in practice.

Yes, that doctor still practices. I am currently being treated by him, since Oct, 2008. The research center is still in the future.

Yes, the ALS misdiagnosis article was very powerful - I just pored over the Newsweek archives and it's not there. So, I think it might have been in People Magazine. I'll see if I can find it.
It was a very positive article and this doctor clearly saved that guy's life.
But a few days in advance I called them to cancel and reschedule since I could not find anyone who was able to drive me on the long journey.
The secretary said that if I canceled I would no longer be able to see the Doctor and be treated by him.
I said are you serious ?
She said "Yes".
So I had no choice but to go see a different doctor.
Imagine if that was during actual treatments, and they would write me off as a patient due to not being able to come...
I always thought that Doctors cared about the patients Health rather than anything else.
I just hope that their actual Medical care is far better than their appointments and the lack of care by the Secretaries for the well being of the individuals they try to cure.
On a different note, the LLMD Doctor who hired them, should be a very well versed people person who know people very well, and probably knows the poor attitudes of his staff towards patients, yet still allows them to work there.
Guess that may actually speak of the doctor himself.
But dont just take my word for it.
Not Good.

He was the first llmd I had seen. Him and his staff were the rudest people I have ever met. You have to wait in his waiting room at least 4 hours to see him, sometimes going as late as 2 am for a 7pm appt.
He started me on 500mg of zith. Then add 200mg of mino, I went in to a major herx could not swallow at all, sever brain fog, nausea, and a bunch more symptoms. I could not get ahold of his office for 4 days they stated he was out of town and left no one on call.
When I went back to see him I was so sick from the herx I asked if my husband could come in with me and they refused. I was so brain fogged I had a really hard time understanding and conveying my thoughts. He told me If I couldn't understand him I should be in a hospital. Doesn't lyme cause severe brain fog?
He then accused me of wanting disabiltiy. Huh? I have never even entertained the thought and I was appalled.
He also clinically said I have erliciousis. I present completely opposite from erlic symptoms and have never tested positive for it.
Steer clear of this man. He does not listen to his patients. To make a sick lyme patient wait 4 plus hours is not right. Many people were sleeping on the floor when we went once waiting to get in.

People have been banned on lymenet before for publicly dissing doctors who treat lyme. Any complaints of this nature should be done by private message.
Lymenet is for patient support. But it is a public forum where certain information helps the trolls who read it and have used it to persecute our doctors. You should be careful about protecting the doctors who help us.

to diss would be to talk bad and name calling about him out of anger or personal feelings.
i rather stated my actual unfortunate poor experience there for all to know,
which could actually lead to saving a life of a patient in need.
furthermore, it would not be fair to allow only the "good things" as posts on this or any forum about someone who may actually lack a genuine care for our true well being.
people here should always use their very own best judgement, ofcourse based on the actual facts, and not the only allowed positive or false reports.
as such would be the only fair way to allow new patients a chance to make their decisons accordingly.
hope you understand.
seems others have similar things to say...
best regards, eric

It sounds like this LLMD (if you can say that) should be closed down if he treats patients so badly. Posts: 7545 | From The 5th Dimension - The Twilight Zone | Registered: Mar 2008

Please remember there are two sides to every story. I have been going to this doctor since Oct. 2008. I think he is a good LLMD. He takes his time with each patient. YES sometimes the wait is around 2-3 hours, but if you were feeling that sick wouldn't you want the doctor to spend the extra time with you? He stays until every patient is seen no matter what time it is. They do not answer the phones. They have an answering service for you to leave a message. I have always got a call back with in half an hour from the doctor himself.Especially with herx symptoms. I'm sorry some of you have had bad experiences with this doctor. There are many good things on the interenet about him as well as bad. Just my opinion.
