A new film about Lyme disease is being produced and will be out , hopefully in a few months. You can find the trailer at http://www.undertheeightball.com/
The producer Tim Hall was compelled to make this film due to his sister's sickness and death from Lyme disease

That's pretty good; I especially like the part where all the other diseases are shown that we get misdiagnosed with, then LYME flashes at the end of it.
I think the conspiracy theory can take away from our credibility though; this was one of the key points Pam Weintraub made in the Live Chat the other night.

When I read the section "about the film", it talked about how numerous people that his sister knew were being diagnosed with MS/ALS/etc. and how this could not just be a coincidence.
I have the same kind of situation going on around me and there is no way that it is just coincidental!

I have to disagree with not being able to raise logical questions. Conspiracies are very very real and we need to expose them but we cannot expose them if we are told not to talk about them.
We have been told for years not to talk about government involvement in Lyme disease and where has it gotten us?I have come to the conclusion that anyone who discourages people from speaking their concerns is either ignorant of free speech and the rights of Americans to keep their government in line...OR they are complicit in the coverups. It is possible that people believe that keeping quiet helps us gain credibility but I can see that doing so keeps the crimes under the rug and allowed to perpetuate.

I think the point of that is if a movie or other media articial focuses on the conspericy issue it losses credabilty. not that we as a people shouldnt ask qustions. Doc

Right, you have to do things in a sensible order, I think. Pamela Weintraub is very well versed on most issues surrounding Lyme, and I believe her judgement is right on target.
If we wave the conspiracy theory flag, we often get dismissed as crazies. We need to first focus on getting out the awareness of this disease and getting proper treatment guidelines to be universally recognized and accepted.
Then people can dig a little deeper,. It is just the reality. We need to do what is best to get ourselves well and this disease addressed. Theories about how it all began are contraversial, unproven, and can wait.
First we need to figure out how to treat this disease and be seen as credible sick people with a real illness, not something that perhaps secret government scientists sprayed in the air.

I think it's fine to raise awareness. That is very important however when there are facts to bring up...in this case in a movie....then it certainly needs to be brought out before too many more people suffer and die. This whole pandemic is much bigger than just Shapiro, Fish, and the IDSA.
They are not afraid of retribution because there are larger powers behind them that are supporting their actions and controlling research. Basically those in control are allowing the disease to pass through the population and it is necessary that this be exposed. Questions need to be asked.

We've ignored these issues for 31 years, and we're still looked at as a bunch of crazies. We've nothing to lose. I would direct all those who are skeptical to EightLegsBad's lyme-rage.info, as well as the work of Garth Nicholson and Leonard Horowitz. There are mountains of well-established facts out there indicating that the rabbit hole goes far deeper than we are being led to believe.

Just alone.. The idea and concept of this sort of presentation .. is bringing awareness to many and the public overall who are not aware..
Its a Good thing.... no matter the content if you ask me.
Attention and Awareness will need to come first.. and we need that

Actually, for the most part, I think those in government/corporations/universities etc...who may be involved in allowing lyme and the many other tickborne coinfections,to pass through the population......are the ones labeling activists who pose questions....as conspiracy theorists.
Think about it. What better way to take attention of the perpetrators and what they are doing and place it on the victims(in a negative way) who are seeking truth.
We musn't let anyone talk us out of speaking about our concerns. We all know of certain"activists' who present themselves in a very bizarre manner. They are the ones who discredit the lyme movement and it should be questioned as to what side they are really on.
We don't know the exact details concerning this issue but the picture will never become clearer if we do not do research and ask questions. One of the tactics of disinformants or controlled opposition is to ask for definite proof for things there is no definite proof for YET.
For example...let's say that Plum I. is involved....do you think they are willingly going to give over any incriminating documents?
We need to be firm, persistent, calm and show our sincere concern. We don't have to act like hysterical nuts. Most of us don't act that way anyway. If we retain our composure and appear logical(with certain facts to back us up)then sooner or later it will be the perpetrators who appear to lack credibility

I am very sorry for the recent loss of his beautiful sister, Lori. My sincere condolences to the family.
I wonder if she got aggressive treatment for lyme disease? Did she get IV abx? I hope that at least they were able to try everything to save her.

From what I understand the producer's sister was diagnosed with several different diseases. When she tested positive for Lyme, the doctors didn't believe it and gave her steroids. She went downhill and when she was given antibiotics, it was too late. I think that's the way it happened

Note how an aersol, not a tick, is mentioned as the likely source of her infection.

I like the idea of this movie. It is not far fetched. I used to work in a part of town close to a military weapons center, a rather conspicous one along side the 405 fwy. Near Seal Beach. One bright and sunny afternoon a strange "fog" swept over us. Everyone knew immediately it was unnatural. Our store locked the doors, turned off the air conditioning, threw towels and stuff at the bottom of the front doors to try to keep it out. Likely didn't. A few people wanted inside off the walkway in front of the store. I opened up the doors and let them in. The store manager was so angry at me for opening the doors. There was absolutely no report as to what IT was. We heard a short - one sentence statement that a fog swept through the neighborhood - a chemical reaction - but completely harmless. These things happen. People do not take responsibility regarding accidents or other people's health unless forced to. There are cover-ups. There are things swept under the rug. People believe they are looking at "The Big Picture" and detach from the concerns of a few.
I think this movie is important because it reminds the public that such things are possible.
I think it is important to stimulate thought and knock intellectuals out of their comfortable, complacent stupor!
People with Lyme Disease need help - shake things up! -p

Thankyou Peedie!!
Did the news ever say where the harmless chemical reaction fog came from?

Nope - I remember it started out as "There was a strange fog over parts of Seal Beach and Los Alamitos..." -p

Peedie, That is absolutely terrifying. What a kind and caring soul you were to open the door to save others at your own risk. You are a gem!

Well I am kind and caring...but if that fog made the flesh melt off our bones...well that would have been a different opinion. It's all relative. I help people if I can. -p

"Such things are possible".
It is good to see a new movie on Lyme disease and to bring the truth to light.
I did not know his sister died from LD. This man must have really loved his sister to make a movie about the disease that killed her. It could not have been easy for him. Making a film is never easy but about a disease that killed your sister must have been heart breaking.
This film will not take any credibility away from Lyme patients. Telling the truth is never wrong.
