Does anyone have this or know what causes it?

I feel like I have had a few beers and this has been for the past few weeks.

I feel off balance, like the room is moving, and a little nauseous.

I am currently on mepron and zith. And I just recently added Ceftin (in exchange for Omnicef), Nystatin, and Diflucan every five days.

The drunk feeling started before the new protocol.

Anyone have any ideas what causes this?

I have that feeling, but I'm pretty sure mine's from my medicine.

I'm on zith as well, which doesn't make me feel well, but the drunk feeling started when I added mino.

Maybe it has something to do with zith in combo with other meds?

Hope you feel better.

Some of the lyme toxins are actually close to that of alchohol. When I am toxic/herxing... I get the off balance, dizzy, nauseated feeling.

I would have to say it is a herx or you ate something to stir things up...?

I also read in a book written by Dr. Crook about candida that a candida infection can cause one to feel drunk.

edited to add:
I also feel dizzy and sick to my stomach sometimes when I'm really toxic.

Thanks everyone!

Terry, thanks for the link. I have been wondering if it was yeast or yeast die off making me feel like this.

Still not sure!

Hi Lea--

Both the illness and medicines can make
you feel off balance--

I have been real dizzy for many years
but I have not fallen down even once--
close tho -

One thing that helps is practicing your balance something like riding a bicycle --
standing on one foot- walking straight line --

Lea, Did the drunk feeling start while you were taking just the Mepron and zith?

Has it gotten worse since starting the antifungals? If so, that would be a clue that it's yeast-related.

VB, Mino is notorious for causing dizziness and even vertigo. I know some people who felt dizzy for a few weeks on mino, and then it passed. For some others (myself included), the dizziness doesn't go away or gets worse, in which case you should ask about switching to another abx.
