Just because you recently got a root canal doesn't mean there isn't mercury under the crown. More than likely there IS mercury, and according to my dentist, crowns have a higher currency of mercury than normal mercury fillings. I'd double check with your dentist and make sure he knows you what a crown with NO mercury.
