And how do you think you accomplished this.

Or if you are someone who knows of someone...how did they accomplish it??

How long were you sick before regaining your health?

By recovery, I mean enough to return to work or return to a lifestyle that is just about what you were able to do before lyme hit.

I was released by my LLMD in June. Symptom free and healthy today.

Minocycline was beneficial. I had no co-infections, which I feel blessed about.

Slowly getting back into exercise helped boost my immune system.

Probiotics. Fish oil. B-12.

Meditation. Epsom salt/baking soda baths. Rest . . . lots of rest. More meditation.

And I have good genes. I really think that is a determining factor in how quickly you recover.

Bitten in 2000. Bullseye rash. Negative Elisa and WB so no treatment.

Symptoms on and off for the next 6 years, but I didn't suspect Lyme (your test is negative, so you don't have Lyme Disease!)

My body crashed in Oct. 2006. Diagnosed with headache-free migraine . . . fibromyalgia . . . possible MS . . . maybe my body was just overly sensitive to low B-12 levels . . . somatization disorder . . . anxiety.

Then a very smart doctor diagnosed me with late stage lyme disease and prescribed long-term antibiotics. This started me on my path to wellness.

For those of you still praying to get well, don't lose hope. There are lots of people, including myself, that walk away from Lyme Disease. You may not see them on Lymenet because they have gotten well and moved on with their lives.

Never give up.

I got well in September 08, but who knows until when. I get frequent relapses.

So far, I haven't relapsed from borrelia (entering month 5 without borrelia treatment!!), but I have been still fighting other infections (most are pre-lyme).

Little abx, loads of herbs and spices, Buhner's herbs, many other Chinese herbs, muscle tests (without them, I don't think I would be still borrelia free), KMT 24, homeopathics (classical, for symptom relief, organ support and nosodes), loads of detoxing supplements/herbs, dr. K's suggestions for detoxing and killing.

I wonder how many had co-infections as well.

They seem to contribute to a longer treatment of symptoms for sure.

Kam, hang in there.

I am two plus years into treatment and while not completely well,

Am doing much better over all.

(Some days that is [Big Grin] )

Sending you positive thoughts and prayers for a healthier year.

Hugs,

Geneal

My husband has recovered enough to return to work full time, he Glides and Fly's again and leads a 95% well life. He remains on treatment but I would say he is well.

I on the other hand I was Hospitalised 2 years ago for 3 1/2 month could not walk and was very much bed bound all of the time needing constant care. Since treatment (only really agressive for 4 months and now again 6 months) I am a lot better - I am up and around every day can go out some days and have good spells of mobility - I even forget and have to be reminded of how ill I was.

I am still poorly and although Babesia is really bad for me at the moment I am very different than I was - far from well but better.

I think those of us who are highly co-infected will take a lot longer to recover and have a very tough and rocky road

It is good to hear of those who were able to return to work/life.

And it also makes sense that Lyme and company is going to take longer.

Thanks to all for being out there still.

It's nice to know you can get better.

It sure can get you down.

Very good to kno that there is some hope of recovering...

Especially when the depressionn hits and a genuine lack to do just about anyhting makes it so much worse.

Glad for those who have recovered / healed and hope we all can do same very soon.

Best regards,
Eric
