I started flagyl 1 month ago, for 10 days, and I developed, or so i thought, some cold. It then turned to chest pain/heart palps...then I stopped flagyl, went to pennicilin tabs, felt good for 4 days, then relapsed. It is sooo hard to breath. and it hurts, does babs hurt the chest, or just make it hard to breath? I have throat pain too, like cankersores in my throat, I don't know, I am so confused. my llmd took off all abx and thinks it is yeast. diflucan and famavoir is what I am currently on. AND, I was borderline when tested for babs at igenex 1 yr ago. we have not treated for babs, because I did not have the symptoms like I do now. plus, my chest has some burning. anyone?

After treating for Lyme, I started having pain in my chest. It was hard to breath and I thought I had pneumonia. Went to have a chest x-ray. Nothing showed up. I believe these were babesia symptoms.
If it would give you peace of mind to go see a doctor then you should go. All I can say is LD and co's can make you feel all the things you are feeling. I have felt like I was literally going to die from it.
But if going to see a doc will relieve some of your stress it would be worth going. Stress is the worse thing for you right now. Can you have a phone consultation with your LLMD?
One thing I have learned with this illness, is that you have to learn to have an extreme amount of patience.

Thanks so much for that. I did an xray, ekg, blood work, strep, staph tests...negative. talked to llmd 4 times, did not talk about babs, thought it was some bronchittis or something (that's what I thought), but he told me yeast. now I am off everything except diflucan and famavoir. I might have a mix of things. All I know is I don't feel normal. Was your chest pain constant suthrngirl? Mine is on and off during the day, but so far, every day since I started flagyl again.

Who is your LLMD? I have similar symptoms, and my LLMD doesn't think it's babs. My test originally was way positive.

How much diflucan are you taking?
When I have a major yeast issue, it isn't uncommon
For me to take 400mg for 5 days straight.
Chest pain, pressure in my chest, rib pain, diaphragmatic spasms,
Air hunger, extreme fatigue, neck pain, jaw pain,
stabbing pains in my head, night sweats, are all babesia for me.
Maybe ask your LLMD to let you do an antibiotic challenge for babesia.
Hugs,
Geneal

I have had all of these sx too, but, and this is just my opinion, if it continues I would go to the ER.
I only say that because sometimes what you're feeling is a result of babesia/herx reaction. But other times I have gone to the E.R. and was very dehydrated even with no vomitting or diar., and with my B/P 65/40 and an abnormal EKG.
At the time basically what I needed was IV fluids and Oxogen.
Please don't let this scare you!!!! All of this--low blood pressure, chest pain, low O2 was all a result of being dehydrated.
Once all of that was addressed, I was fine! Now keep in mind that I tend to over react when it comes ot someone else!!!!!! I try not too, but I do!??
Just follow your instincts, okay.
Many prayers!

I coughed for 5 years when I had babesia the first time. It was the last thing to go. Burning and felt like sores in the throat. I was well for 4 years and just relapsed about 4 mos. ago....coughing again. I didn't have chest pain, other than when I gave myself a hernia from the violent coughing. Do you think you strained a muscle or something like that from the coughing.
