I'm finishng three and a half months on a rocephin IV and am wondering how your doctor treated cystic or L-forms of Lyme.

I would like to start oral antobiotics and wonder what combinations your doctor used to clear up any remaining forms of Lyme and was your treatment successful?

Also, if you had bartonella, how did your doctor treat it and when; after or before addressing the remaining Lyme disease?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

My LLMD doesn't treat me for the cyst form. No mention of ever doing so.

I was prescribed oral Flagyl for cyst form while on IV Rocephin.

I pulsed it for three cycles. First cycle was wretched- but by the third time I hardly knew I was taking it.

I was then treated for Bart with oral rifampin.

Flagyl!!

I took Flagyl with Bicillin LA injections (3-4xper week) and 2,000 mg of Biaxin

There are many combinations you can use Flagyl with.

It (Flagyl) was very important in my treatment and one of the best drugs I ever took to get me better.

With 5-nitroimidazoles, like flagyl and tindamax. I'm not so

sure the potential benefits outweigh the risks, though; those drugs can

be very neurotoxic.
