I am carefully charting symptoms each day and putting an overall rating of 1-10 each day on how I felt. I didn't do this my first four months of treatment, but I realized it's important. It's a nice tool. My LLMD recommends it.
It makes you realize where you are better than trying to remember how the last month was in aggregate.
I am noticing an obvious cycle. Every 7 days, I have a terrible day. Monday is usually a 2 or 3. ...today I hit my best day in a long, long time..an 8!! I see it jump from 2 to 3 to 5 to 7 and then boom to 2 again. Interesting, huh? It's so weird. Last Monday, I was wondering thinking life is terrible and why bother. Today, I'm walking aronnd with my wife and functioning better.
I am not pushing to levels of exercise and exertion so the real tests aren't there yet. That'll turn the next day into 1-2 real fast. Keeping in mind that I could barely stand up some days before, I guess it means somthing.
Any thoughts?

You are on your way...on the goods day i did the max excercise without overdoing....outside of antibiotics i think the excercse keeps your immune system cranking.
Glad your making progress,
Dave

At some point in my lyme treatment, I noticed a 7-day cycle. I had 48 hours of feeling terrible every week. (I felt exactly like you said--life is terrible; why bother. I would just lay. Wouldn't talk, eat, etc.)
My lyme doc said that babs has a 7-day cycle and a 14-day cycle.
He was treating me for babs when this 7-day cycle occurred. So, he had me add artimesinin on the days I always got sick--Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. (I got sick from Friday evening until Sunday evening. Then, it would be gone.)
It worked great. The first week, it cut the sick time down from 48 hours to only 6 hours. Then, less each week.
Eventually, I got sick only once every 14 days. Then, finally, no more sickness!! End of treatment.
Seems crazy, I know, but there is a scientific reason for this stuff.

That is wonderful to hear there may be an explanation to this pattern and that I may be moving forward! Thanks for the inspiration. Posts: 7545 | From The 5th Dimension - The Twilight Zone | Registered: Mar 2008

Seek thank you for posting this. I know I need to be documenting my days and progress. I have significant brain fog and cognitive problems so the lack of ability to sort out a system has result in no system= no documenting = not good:(
Your post has pointed out to me that I shouldn't wait til I can build a TajMahal of a system...at a minimum I can start now and do a simple 1-10 day scale on how well I feel. Hopefully, I can build it on it from there.
I enjoy reading your posts, and this one has greatly helped ground me....thanks!

Well...history repeated itself. Another 2/10 yesterday. EVERY Monday is a nightmare and a 2/10. Mon, Tues, Wed is no better than 4/10.
Monday is my worst day by far. I can't function at all usually. Interesting, huh?

I feel worse on weekends, too - definitely by Friday evening, sometimes as early as Thursday evening. By Sunday I often feel a little better.
