Many Lyme doctors will consider mycoplasmas among the co-infections to Lyme.
Part of the confusion surrounding proper diagnosis and treatment is that "Lyme disease" is often not just a Borrelia burgdorferi infection, but an infection with many different pathogens. Ticks pick up all kinds of things, and borrelia lower the body's immune response, so we get sick.
