I'm not sure what plantar factus (sp?) is but it seems like I saw something about it in my research on this - similar pain but different cause, I think (again not sure).
Thanks for the bee venom idea - I've heard good things about that.

Mojo, I've had this on the right foot since - hate to tell you - late Spring. It's a killer. Along my LD journey I've experienced foot, ankle, and true plantar f., and this is definitely different.
Because of running track for many years, I am waaaay to familiar with many orthopedic problems, & my sense of this one is . . . Lyme is causing it.
You can never know, but I think it is fascinating that when I switched to mino in late spring, my HEAD and ENERGY improved radically, but my body started falling apart!
Just an interesting little sidelight.
I've done weekly 'rehab' for the knee & foot for several months, I haven't had noticeable improvement which is another thing that makes me think it's the disease talking.
Good Luck,
otm

Yes, plantar fasciitis. This responds well to massage and craniosacral therapy. It is often related to liver congestion, I don't know why. Do you need a liver cleanse?

I suffered with major foot problems for decades. Yes,lyme is connected. yes, toxin build up is connected.
Still, it was essential for me to see a podiatrist who offered tremendous help, order specific PT and custom made orthotics.
I took in all my shoes and she saw how I walked in them. I had to toss most of them, even birkenstocks.
I cannot stress enough the importance of expert mechanical evaluation by a doctor who specializes only in feet.
One note of caution, avoid steroid shots, but otherwise, I would not be walking today had it not been for an excellent foot specialist and a PT who used ultrasound, massage and knew the right stretches to teach me and the ones to tell me to NOT do!
Sleeping in a special brace also was of great help.
And magnesuim and glutathione precursors, too.
The only shoes that I can wear are the Dansko clogs with the NEX GEN soles - these look much less clunky than other clogs and the sole is springy but also very firm. Not the regular danskos that are so hard but still firm for support.
Other wise, I wear shoes my doctor has approved - seen me walk in - with orthotics that are made just for my feet.

Wow - thanks everyone for the great answers. I should get my feet checked out right away - I only have a PPO for another two or three months.
I was wondering if it's Lyme related and was thinking maybe not until I read your responses.
I am very good at detoxing but do have a liver isuue since taking Rifampin in Oct. Enzymes are now fine but my NP found it (liver) to be my biggest issue currently.
I didn't do my Liver Flush after my last humaworm as it was during the holidays and did a couple coffee enemas instead. I need to do a flush (I hate those)
I have been using my sauna a lot and now I have my Rife so I can do Lymph everyday. I just found out I was only doing half of the Milk Thisle I thought I was doing (ie 2 pills is the full dose, duh). I also ordered a Liver Cleanse from vitacost.
Thanks so much, everyone. Each response was like a light bulb over my head.

Hi! :-) I'd like to hear more about the bee venom cream. Also, has anyone tried the lemon olive oil drink for foot and leg and tendon pain?...knees too? I used it for a couple weeks (way back) and my burning pain in my legs went away

There are some good threads about bee venom if you do a search. But I can tell you that it's helped me a LOT. I only use it topically. My LLMD is the one that suggested it to me originally because I wasn't responding well to the meds I'd been on, but he meant the injections. I didn't like the sound of that, so when I learned about Venex ointment, I decided that sounded safer to try.
Rubbing it on feet stopped the pain I had like, almost immediately, followed by a herx. I've since used it all over my body. I've rubbed it on a rash, on tender, painful joints, lumps, etc and it's helped almost everything. I don't think it's the answer to everything. The active ingredient, mellitin, is deadly to Bb, but doesn't kill the cyst form, so that's why I'm doing the Flagyl cream along with it.
There's also an eye drop available at www.dancingbeeacres.com, and that helped clear up my eyes. It stings a little initially, and the cream burns a little initially, but that goes away after 15 minutes or so.

Do your feet hurt for the first 5 or 6 steps out of bed in the morning so badly that it's difficult to walk? If so, it's probably plantar fasciitis (PF). If not, it could be something else... maybe Lyme, Babs, Bart, etc.
PF is an inflammation of the plantar facia muscle. Basically the muscle that forms the arch of your foot. It's generally a repetitive strain injury that you get from over doing it. A lot of runners or people who work on their feet get it (nurses, waitresses, etc.)
Going to the foot doc can be helpful, but try this in the short term: take a can of soda (or whatever) out of the fridge and roll it back and forth on the floor under you stocking-covered foot while sitting around (watching TV, reading, etc). The cold will help reduce the inflammation and give you temporary relief if it is indeed a muscular issue.
It's doubtful this will help if it's disease related.
