Does anyone know if arup lab is a good lab for virus/bacteria/parasite testing. The Dr ordered mycoplastma, toxoplasma, c. pnuemonia, EBV, CMV, HHV-6, Parvovirus and H pylori - IGG, IGM and one is an IGA. Anyway, I called them and they say they use an elisa test, and chemiluminescent ammunoassay test - for Toxoplasma and CMV panel (HHV-6 is a PCR). Just curious if anybody has any info regarding these tests and the lab arup. Thanks. Bonnie

I know that Dr. Chia, an ID doctor in CA likes to use Arup lab for enterovirus testing. (If you google "Chia enterovirus" you'll come up with some articles.
I just had some blood sent to Arup yesterday for that testing. I use Focus Diagnostics lab for the other viral testing that you mentioned.
At least your doctor is testing you for those things!!! Although you really should get an IgG test for HHV-6.
