I was reading this article in the public health alert, an interview with Dr.K... he seems very compassionate and knowledgeable, he is a victim of Lyme himself...
I'd be very interested to see what his treatment protocols are like. I read the HealingWell posts, I'm intrigued, that woman is functioning again due to this treatment. I don't care what the cost is, this is for my daughter, she needs her life back.
If anyone has an opinion, comment or experience, please chime in!

I called Envita and spoke to them at length. They have a "sales" staff that return your call.
I was quoted 20,000 dollars for one month of treatment. Housing was additional.
I was told about Dr. K and of his having had Lyme Disease.
I was also told that treatment consists of a lot of IV therapy, nutritional, detox etc.
After all was said and done, for me, the price tag seemed way too high for services provided.
You would probably do well by calling them for more exacting info.

I begin treatment in a few weeks. The proto I will be doing is Sodium EDTA IV and IV Zithromax. I will have a Port A Cath inserted. This protocol is very new and only been going on for 6 weeks...apparently this is really helping people and possibly "curing" very rapidly.

I read the posts on healingwell.com, that woman appears to have come a long way. She quotes the price at $36,000... I guess it's an individual thing, depending on what medications they use for your case.
I'm going to call them if I get a chance today...

Hi, I looked into it a bit more over the weekend... At this point, I'm going to put it in my back pocket as Plan B, or C... Some of the therapies done there are VERY alternative and in my opinion- may be dangerous, especially all done in combination with each other. I would not be comfortable using those therapies on my daughter, at this time.
If any of you try it, let me know how it works out for you.

This is what I have heard from those in our local AZ support group.
ENVITA accepts some insurance, but you can easily spend tens of thousands of dollars in your first six months of treatment due to additional supplements you have to buy from them.
I know our LLMD referred us to them when I thought my daughter should have IV. But, we are out of money and can't afford what ENVITA charges.
I also just don't have a good gut feeling about what they are doing.
But, everyone is different.

What are they doing in addition to Sodium EDTA and IV Zithromax?

Please be very careful. There is a lot of hype about this clinic right now. I know of a number of people who are NOT better and much poorer after treatment.
Before I would spend this kind of money, I would want to know if this improvement was sustained? For how long?
Best, Karen

KGG - They have changed their treatment plan and it is very new. IV EDTA is given for 1-2 hours and then immediately after, IV Zithromax is given. This has never been done before, in that order and results are astounding. Before the previous 3 months....it was given differently, but people are responding very well.
Pulsing antibiotics...I quit my antibiotics about 2 weeks ago and it about killed me. When I started back, I had less pain and felt much better than before. I think pulsing antibiotics could be a key to killing, versus repeated continual use of antibiotics.

Hmmm. I would be leery of IV silver (where are they getting the silver, how do you know it is sterile and doesn't have pyrogens, who ever said it was safe to infuse silver and in what amounts?) as well as the UVB (its been in wide use among certain docs for a while as an antiviral but it *does* damage some of the blood by irradiating it, thus working as an immune stimulant. Still, damaged blood is not necessarily a good thing and imo could risk mutations and cancer).
OTOH why the EDTA and zithromax specifically? Any reason they chose the zith? The EDTA as a prep ahead of time is interesting.
Please keep us posted--tho I would never do or tolerate such a protocol myself--however its easy for integrative medicine docs to do the above EDTA/zith protocol if it really does help and provide lasting results.

The EDTA is not to chelate. It is to deal with the biofilms, break them down, and improve the impact of the antibiotics by not having the bugs still protected by the biofilms.
I have no opinion either way on Envita at this time.

I discovered Envita on line about 3 months ago and the topic was kicked off the forum because I was told that we don't endorse facilities.
I am glad that I saw this thread today because I am happy to hear all of your reactions and comments!!
That being said, I too was quite inquisitive about the place after seeing their on line video. The production and presentation is amazing!.
I called Envita and also got the 20 grand quote. I am so dismayed to know that there is a treatment center out there where people are getting better from lyme, cancer and other diseases and only the elite few with $$$$ can join the club.
It is such a travesty and another social statement on how our medical system has failed us.
The treatment sounds drastic and I would need to be under constant care to survive what they seem to do. Folks, let's face it...we are all pioneers on this journey with lyme disease.
I had to see my duck doctor last week to get a referral for a dermatologist and we discussed the lyme treatment I am getting from my LLMD. When I told the ducktor about the amount of ABX I am taking she said, with a little sarcasm, "Wow, your lyme doctor is very brave!" I said, "My lyme doctor????" What about me??? Dang, I'm the brave one...I'm the one taking the crazy amount of abx daily!!!" She told me good luck and as I walked away I said to her, "You know, I HAVE to do this. I must at least try or I will never know". Her response was, "I am so sorry, but there just isn't enough conclusive evidence for me to treat you, I just don't know enough about it". I appreciate her honesty, but there it is folks... Laurie

Another question I have is will this treatment prevent the bugs reverting back to cyst form?
