HI all, Sorry I haven't been on the boards for awhile. Here's the update. My LLMD put me on a herbal treatment during the holidays. I wasn't ready for the abx till after Christmas.
I started on 400 doxy per day. I am also taking probiotics 2x a day. My stomach feels sick about 2 hours after I take the abx in the morning. But it's also 3 hours after taking some other stuff like Nsaids and plaquinil. I was ok last week but just started a couple of days ago. I haven't puked but I sure want to. I gotta hold it all down!
I thought it might be the diclofenac I take for the arthritis. I also take protonics 2x a day because of the Nsaids and plaquinil. Ugg...I take so much schtuff.....yuck. Anyway, I think I'm herxing as well...
any ideas?

I take doxy and am ready to puke about 15 minutes after the dose if I am on an empty stomach.
I have to take it after breakfast and dinner and that seems to help.
As for the meds, I haven't tried them so I can't say.

I know how you feel, as I was on Doxy and zith and could only stomach one pill of the Doxy at a time. My LLMD wanted me to ramp up to 2 pills 2x's per day, and I just could not stomach it. He said that is very common and did not want me to suffer.
It did make me vomit and I did ok when I have been on Ceftin, Amox, Zith, Probnecid, Flagyl etc. So far the Doxy is the only one that I could not stomach.
He is switching me back to amox and zith which I did very well on.
I hope you feel better.
