Hi,

A month and a half ago my 'far off' vision became very bad over-nite!!! It was very easy to notice as we finally bought a new T.V., very large so that I could see it!!! It was wonderful; I could finally see the TV!!!!!!!! Then literly in one night, all of the sudden I can't see the TV!!!!! I actually was telling my husband when he woke up that we need to return the T.V.!!!! Of course it still looked great to him.

That has not gotton better and I think it's getting worse????

Then 2 WEEKS ago, as I was on the computer----IN ONE SECOND, literly, I could not see the computer except for very large pictures!!!!! I had to close it! That has slowly gotton better as I now can type and read an e-mail while turning my head left to right and up and down; yep---I look pretty silly LOL!

Anyway this came on sooo fast, that it does concern me. Has this happened to ANYONE else????????

I thing I know what I would reply to someone else, but for me-----I need help, experences----PLEASE!!!!!!

Thank you!!!!!

Schedule an apptmt to see an eye specialist asap. If its glaucoma or something serious, you dont want to wait. Its possible you do have a true vision, or brain issue thats affecting it. So you should have it checked out..

However, if you see an eye specialist, and maybe a neurologist, and they say everything is fine, then its possible that its lyme playing havoc on you.

Lyme will affect vision and it can make things go in, out, weird colors, auras, blurry, distorted, etc, etc..

But you also want to make sure it isnt some real, true eye threatening problem first.

My eye issues started as soon as I became ill. My vision became worse, I started seeing halos around lights. When I look at something it will just go blurry or when I am reading the words blur in and out. I went to a well respected eye doctor and he said my eyes were great??? This was all before I knew that I had Lyme.

I think I will have my eyes checked out again by a different eye doctor this year. Can't be too careful where your eyes are concerned!

Most likely Lyme is causing it and when the Lyme is gone hopefully the eyes will improve. But your eyes are way too important to ignore. I would have them checked out.

Yes to getting your eyes checked.

I had mine checked when my vision changed for the worse and I passed the neuro-opthalmologist's tests.

So I will post what I usually post for eye issues.

The next day after the eye appt, I started drinking mangosteen juice and my eye problems went away almost immediately.

If you try it, go slow and drink a lot of water.

Hi,

Thanks y'all for your replies; they mean a lot to me!!!! I know y'all are right in that I need to go to an Opthamologist; I just HATE going to the Dr. now!!!!!! Especially when I'm so sick---I know that you all can relate to that, huh. I know that I should have went as soon as it started.

Robin123, I will defintly try the Mangosteen; thank you. Just how slow should I start? What type of reaction does this usually cause?

Sutherngrl------you seeing halo's has me worried about you!!!!!!! I just added a new topic that I think says, Good site for eye/vision problems. PLEASE look at it!!!!!!!

Wimenen----thank you and I wanted to say that...#1 I know your absolutly right, and #2 I really appreciate your advice about that although "Lyme can create havok on your vision----have it checked out to make sure it's not a serious problem" etc...sorry, can't remember.
I just think that it is important to not always assume it is always Lyme and common, even though it usually is. It can be something else.

Thanks everyone and God Bless

My eye site worsened when I got ill also. My vision changes all the time. Some times everything is so blurry and distorted, other timed I have increased floaters.

I did see an eye doctor who could not find anything wrong.

The strange thing was when I started tx my eyes became severely painful and an odd red color within 3 hours of taking my first dose of ABX. I never experienced such pain before.

After 5 months of tx, I still have vision problems and eye pain but nothing like the beginning of tx.

Hi - I drink the Ultra mangosteen variety, with 70 minerals added to it - there are lots of brands in healthfood stores, online, and the strongest is Xango, sold multi-level.

Just go slow and drink water.

Within one hour of starting, my eye muscle pain and blurred vision decreased. Within 24 hours, light sensitivity was way down.

But also...my sinuses dripped for two days straight, and my bowels ran for three days straight.

Then on the fourth day, my gums did not bleed anymore.

That's what I call a powerful anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant juice!

And it has continued to work for me.

If you do a search here, we have threads on it from the past couple months, where you can read what a lot of us wrote about it.

Let us know how it goes if you try it!
