Hello Friends,

I've seen some posts that people have treated their Bartonella with a combo of Zithromax and Bactrim.

I thought you could only kill Bartonella with Levaquin or Rifampin.

Have any of you had successful treatment of Bartonella with the Zithro/Bactrim combo? Did your doctor prescribe any thing else with it?

Please let me know how you did!

Thanks,
Joe

I can't take Rifampin due to side effects, and my insurance company just denied my Levaquin prescription.

So my LLMD is putting me on a combo of Cipro and Bactrim. (My other meds are Flagyl and Bicillin LA.)

He said that Levaquin and Rifampin are faster when treating bartonella. But that the combo will work, too, and take a few more months.

Zith is often used to treat pediatric Bartonella on its own, and is often used in combo with Rifampin for Bartonella.
