I woke up out of bed and was shaking in my upper chest and shoulders. I felt very cold. I went downstairs and sat in front of my fireplace and was sweating on the outside yet shaking on the inside just up in my shoulder area... Teeth were chattering from time to time.

I took my temp and it was 96.0 degrees. I'm not getting sick, this feels different as the cold sensation is just up in my chest and especially in my shoulders what is this ?

Drinking hot tea now and still freezing just in this area, shaking is getting better, but feels like hypothermia or something, but why don't I feel it in my legs and arms ?

When I first awoke, I thought it was anxiety, but after I got out of bed I realized it was the sensation of being cold and not shaking related to anxiety.

sounds like you had episode of "rigors" with chills. can be related to babs per my LLMD

i get the shakes, chills, teeth chattering and i am freezing while everyone else is fine, my interal thermometer is broke

my body temp was always low as well (for me 99 was high temp, even as a kid).

LLMD put me on thyroid support and now most of time body temp close to normal or low grade temp.

i just started tx for babs and hope this improves. now on zith/mepron and just got port for IV rocefin.

It is very disconcerting. I too have had low body temp and so very cold at times. One time it was 95 degrees summer in California and I was bundled up on the couch with blankets, microwave heat packs, wool socks, etc. My doc too, says it is Babesia related. Though I had some sweats with Babesia, I mostly have chills, down to the core body chills. Hot bath, followed by winter clothing and blankets and heating pads, etc. Two heat packs, one at your feet and one near your core. I know when symptoms are new to you they are so scary and disturbing. But I for one, know exactly what you are talking about.

Sorry your feeling so cold and chilled. Just to let you know I've had these same problems for a year now.

Every day - Chills, cold, electric feelings through my body and YES sweating on the outside yet shaking on the inside.

Just so you know your not along [Smile] [Smile]
