Help!! looking for cheap ceftriaxone....I was just denied by my insurance company after 30 days of treatment.

I called 2 Sams Clubs and was quoted a price of $40.85/vial for 2 gms.....has anyone actually gotten it for less than $10? (i have read that in other posts)

I also left a message at Lawrence Drugs...

Does anyone else have any possible avenues?

www.infuserveamerica.com do generic for $12.50 for 2gms - thats just the vial nothing else

If you want Branded Roche Rocephin 2gm with water for mixing and needle/syringe to give your infusion via 20ml bolus pls pm me as we have a spanish pharmacy in our village that supplies the whole kit for 26 Euro.

Hope that helps

Infuserve has quoted me $35 a day for Baxter manufacturer pre-mixed bags and all supplies. They will do a generic "syringe push" setup for $30 a day. They will do mixed full IV bags with generic for $38-$40 a day. Pretty decent prices when others are paying $900 a week. You of course will get lower by getting things from here and there. They have been very helpful with questions.

If anyone has found a full set up at less - please let me know.

sent appeal to ur insurance yet? send appeal, get med records from doc: clinic notes, labs, anything and everything. even other specialists. do appeal and bombard them with medical lingo/jargon and info on how helped. this was my apporach as a case mngr for pt when was able to work. the more you send and overloead the info, better changes of getting approval. IV company should have started getting "re-authorization:" before month was out, should do early week 3 and send supporting info.

thats strange as infuserve deliver Generic Ceftriaxone 2gm with 20ml water for infusion for $12.50 to the UK

Its best just to buy the Ceftriaxone vials + 20ml water for infusion and draw up into a 20ml syringe and give as a bolus so $13.00 for everything.

Seems silly paying so much for other pre mixed generics when you can get Branded Roche with mixing water and kit for 26 Euro in Europe.

I would say go with the infrasurve option as I have stated above if you want a generic - personally I would not touch a generic as I ended up in ITU on generic rocephin although I am sure its fine for most
