i have noticed my eyes are getting much worse

lately for no specific reason and i am worried,

nothing doc can really find, more trouble

focusing, flashing lights even with eyes closed

and when watching t.v. or the computer screen,

all of this comes and goes but seems to be

happening more often, are there any prescription

eye drops or meds that might help any of this? i

am really desperate for any help, its getting so

that i cannot read at all or watch t.v., thanks

Radha

Hi Radha,

I had and still have eye problems but they improved a lot when I started taking Rifampin(600mg) in combination with Doxycycline(400mg).

My doctor thought that the eye problems came from a co-infection of Bartonella and that is what my ABX combination is designed to treat.

I hope this helps.

Joe

YES, the bartonella was a HUGE culprit with eye problems!! Mine get really red, an unremovable oily film and they hurt with light. I have noticed that treating the Bartonella with Levaquin or Rifampin helps, but when I am treating the Lyme with a strong enough med the Bartonella drugs are more effective. The diseases really work with and against one another.

Hope you find relief!

radha, [group hug] [kiss]

sending you my thoughts and prayers as i'd be lost without my eyesight being on here, reading galore of newspapers/magazines/books, and watching tv with hubby.

many have experienced problems including TINCUP; her story can be found in TREEPATROL'S NEWBIE LINKS AT TOP OF MEDICAL!!

i know i have lyme and babs, but also possible

bartonella, i dont have any redness or film, but

it does feel like there is a smoke screen on my

eyes so that i cannot focus but it comes and goes

and the flashing lights come and go too i wish

there were some eye drops or some medicine other

than abx since i cannot tolerate any abx because

the herx is just too too strong, thanks for your

replies
