I am fairly a newbie with Rocephin. Took about 3 weeks of it in December before problems with my picc line meant pulling the line.

I now have a port and am restarting the meds. I notice that it makes me sleepy (vs. fatigued) and I sleep like a baby, better than I have in years, when I am taking it. I love this but am curious as my LLMD said he has not heard this feedback from his other patients.

Just curious, does anyone else experience this with Rocephin?

Nope, not me.

But, CONGRATULATIONS!

I'll bet you could use the sleep.

I didn't have that happen while on the Rocephin either, but would have loved to been able to sleep through it.

With that said, no two people will always respond to the same med the same way.

Hope you have better luck with the port than you did your picc line. Feel better.

Yeah, it knocks me out. I've fallen asleep during my infusion a lot and my husband has to wake me up to finish with the saline and heparin. I usually go to bed pretty soon afterwards and go to sleep so quick. That's good.

But when I do the infusion in the morning, I have to go to work afterwards. That's the hard part.

Hope this works better for you than the PICC did and you feel better soon.
