Heard from an llmd that it's bartonella...but it seems to me that it could be all of the above.

I had this same symptom. Had horrible headaches at the base of my head for 2 weeks. I was on zithromax at the time and when I went off of the zithromax the headaches stopped 5 days later.

could this be a bartonella herx?? im at a loss for what to do .. my doc thought my babesia was in remission so he took me off mepron..

he put me on malarone and kept me on rifampin for bartonella.. now im thinking maybe the rifampin can work better now and im herxing?

do people think i should stay on the malarone or go back to mepron?

mepron and malarone are both antimalirials...

so either one can be used for babs... it is possible that one works better for a person than the other. But you and your dr would have to figure that out.

If you changed from mepron to malarone recently ....do you think it could be a herx?

I dont have bart so I dont have any expereince with how herxing or symptoms are with that...

but between lyme and babs my babs ones have been worse.

I do know my constant headache gets worse if I dont drink enough water.
