Yes it is generally used for Babs. My doc chooses this protocol and then moves on to malerone/zith...
not sure why.. Don't think one is better that another, just another option. One might work for one person and then the other might work for another. Good Luck!

Also, the Plaquenil makes the Biaxin work better against the cell wall deficient form of Lyme. It would work some against babs, but generally you would add Malarone or Mepron to that combo.
