I used to get a rash just at my hairline at the back of my neck that would come and go, usually at stressful times.
My doctor told me it was eczema. What finally stopped it was an antifungal cream.
I'm now wondering if it could have been an EM rash.
It did itch badly though, do EM rashes itch?
Thanks

Is eczema in your family at all?

I get the same exact same rash you are describing from time to time-it's right at the base of my neck, more on the left side,at the hairline, and almost looks like raised reddish lines-only mine gets pretty sore, not itchy at all.

I used to think I was having an allergic reaction to my shampoo or something, but that's not it. My mom gets the exact same rash, at the exact same spot-and she definitely does not have Lyme. We are both convinced it's eczema. Eczema runs strongly in our family, and I was born with a bit on my cheeks-so I wouldn't be too concerned, it sounds alot like eczema.

I don't know much about EM rashes, about whether they are sore or itch, or even what they look like. I would be interested to see what other people who do get rashes say about this.

Again, I wouldn't worry too much about it though.

EM rashes may or may not itch.

Did this rash have color or was it contained in circles or some design?

As the antifungal cream stopped it, it may well have been a fungal rash.

Considering that this comes at stressful times, you might consider adrenal support so that stress hormones don't go on a field day. You can read more about how to support adrenal function in Singleton's book (link below).

Most lyme patients need this sort of support, anyway, as lyme can really create havoc.

You can see photos of various EM rashes at the LDA site, links near the bottom of the menu to the left of their home page

I just tried to find some fungal rash photos but gave up. It's still too early for my brain to be on a hunt. Back to bed.

Thank you!!
Yes, eczema does run in my family. I was wondering about it because it's the only rash I remember having. I guess this is one I can let go.

I really couldn't say much about what it looked like because it was mostly in my hair.

I'm sure I need adrenal support, can't seem to tolerate the supplements I've gotten for it for some reason. I'm still looking into it though.

Thanks for the input!
