Hi-

My central nervous system is very sensitive to abx (just about all classes of abx). I want to talk to my LLMD about pulsing because in theory this may make them easier to tolerate. The typical side-effects that I get are severe ear-ringing, insomnia and depending on the abx sometimes anxiety or depression. Does anyone has any experience with pulsing?

Thanks!

Scottie

at the end of my tx years ago i pulsed zith biaxin and amox

i took them fri, sat, sun and not mon-thurs when i was workiing

i think it helped a lot

you can' pulse zith cuz it stays in your system

i pulsed to fool the bugs into coming out ... not cuz i couldn't tolerate the meds

if you are doing what i did i don't think every other day would work-they need more time to come out

but if you can't handle the abx everyday-i guess if that is what your llmd says then do it

I began pulsing this month, but there are other changes in meds that may be affecting how I feel. The jury is still out on this for me.

I just started pusling after 5 months. I take high doses of zith, mycobution, and omnicef M, W, F for three weeks. Then the fourth week I am to take Flagyl. That will be next week.

So far this has been really, really tough on me. I think I have been herxing more as result of it.

My doctor did this because he didn't think I was progressing on constant abx. I have no idea if this will work, but he is a well respected LLMD. I have to trust him.

I have talked to two other patients of his who he is having pusling different drugs similarly.

Right now I am getting huge swings in anxiety, depression, and insomnia pusling.

Kathy

i pulsed for 18 months abx:

3 days on doxy; 2 off; then
3 days on biaxin; 2 off; then doxy again

i had to write this on a special calendar to keep it straight to know which to take, and checked off as it was done daily!
