I seem to be really murdering bart...I see it in my scope...the black dots on my blood cells are going bye bye and the others left seem to be fading out. But I feel TERRIBLE and I am scared to death.

I get in impression this is typical in long term bart, BTW, I belive I have carrions bart strain no. 1. (purple node form)

Most here dont seem to have that strain. MY blood is severely hypercogulated, using herbs to try to loosen it up along with asprin.

But I feel weak sick, pain everywhere, shoulders killing me in pain...to tired to seem to exercise and thats a shame since that always took down the shoulder pains. Cant seem to work, play have fun feel happy or anything, also taking lexapro SSRI, and BTW, lexapro is the only SSRI that does NOT inhibit the 450 liver pathway! So its safe as heck.

And I found a rare conditon that happens in bart TX called toxic phycosis and often they would have to suspend tx to allow further recovery.

I am using hydrocortisone in pretty low doses as this bart...causes blood vessel swelling which in turn causes severe migrains and all sorts of pain...which I feel. I tried everything...nothing seems to help...well tramadol does wake me up but at 300mg is insane dose.

In day 15 now on heavy bart killing drugs...is this typical???? please tell me it is.

So to shorten are these typical bart herx...

Right side headaches...seems continuous...but usually not that bad.

Joint pain everywhere.

Waves of phyco symtoms...all sorts

severe shoulder pain continuous...the more I lay around the worse it gets.

Normal?

My Bart herxes came in psyche waves like you're talking about. I could feel "normal" one minute and the next be raging mad or sobbing and I would have scary thoughts that seemed to be out of my control.

I also got really bad sore throats and sore, tight muscles from my bart herxes...

I hope it passes for you soon, I know how miserable it is.

Lauren

jamescase20: What meds are you using for Bart?

I have not done bart treatment yet but my LLMD said the mental stuff can be horrific for a while he actually said he had patients have total mania and severe psyche stuff and severe insomnia that all eventually left with bart treatment.

Dr S in Florida gives loads of case studdies saying exactly the same thing and that many have to take MASSIVE dosages of xanax I mean MASSIVE to get them through

So I think from what I hear your bart herx is VERY Normal.

The key is to try and take any band aid you can to get through it as my understanding is you have to go through it to get through it.

I am thinking of you - Hang in there

What you're using to treat really hasn't been studied for these purposes, and wasn't meant for human consumption. Seems to me that your symptoms could very easily be those of toxicity from those agents...

Hi James,

I haven't been looking at medical for ages, mainly reading activism.

I am a bit worried about the mixture of toxic things you are taking all at once. Would it be a good idea to let your body have a bit of a rest, even for a few days, and see if your own immune system can build itself up?

I try and have a few days of doing total leisure, no microscope, no computer, no thinking about Lyme, just watching the trees and the birds through the windows, reading a very easy to read book a bit at a time. In other words, chilling out as the younger people say. Or phoning friends who know nothing about Lyme and bacteria.

I think we need to escape trying to get better. We have a terrible burden, fighting the bugs.
Sometimes it's such a lonely time being ill and we want to fight Lyme with everything as much as we can, but also, sometimes our bodies might get on with the job while we don't think about it.

Just hope you are ok and not being too hard on yourself.

best wishes,
Andromeda

Naw, I know whats up with what I am taking...theres little risk.

you dont see dogs and cats dropping dead so I wont either...where both warm blooded animals and thus viturally where the same. My symtoms fit perfectly with a bart herx...and so it is. And I can see reduction of bart in my blood checks so...surely its reality. And it is weaning off slowly but this sucks.

They used to test our drugs on dogs and cats before PETA and such organizations got after them so now they mostly use rats or mice. Dont worry about me...worry about yourselves. I have little to no confidence in modern conventional medications. Too much red tape and so we suffer.

yikes. is there anything else you can use besides the hydrocortisone?

that can't be good for your immune system...

lord knows we need all the help we can get for our weakened systems.. steroids = not good for that.
