I haven't had neck pain for months as it went away while taking doxycycline and then later cefuroxime. Now, I'm on low dose Flagyl working my way up and now the neck pain and some stiffness is back.

Is this herxing? Reactivation of the Lyme? Something else? Any experience with this? Good thing? Bad thing?

Thanks for your input.

This Happened to me while I was on a 7 day course of Flagyl for a "sinus infection."

I didn't know I had lyme at the time and I herxed terribly and went to the ER since I didn't know what was happening.

I hear Flagyl is a hardcore drug to be on.

I think the neck pain is normal, as that was my major herx symptom on flagyl. However -- I would ask some people who have been on it for a longer period of time.
