Hello folks,
last week i was asking about TMJ and Lyme. So it is not TMJ. The doctors are pretty sure it is atypical trigeminal nerve neuropathy.

This nerve is the one that controls sensation and your movement on your face and teeth and swallowing.

It is miserable. I found one medical abstract about trigeminal nerve pain and Lyme disease but was able to get the paper.

Do any of you have this problem?

It can be miserable and I just as soon go through labor than have this.

I just started antiseizure medicine with muscle relaxers and am a bit out of it. It hasnt started working too well yet. I believe it will take a few days to find out whether it will work with the medications, if not, there is some possible surgery involved.

Any information would help on trying to relieve the pain.

This is not good as I sing and if I open my mouth to form my words or even breathe in air, it starts the pain up.

Hope to hear from some of you.

My bet is if you'd stop sucking on those lemons, you lemon head... you'd feel better.

[lol]

Have you tried a chiropractor?

They can often take the pressure off the nerve for you so it feels better.

That's what I did. Worked well for me.

And short bursts of cold and heat. Neither one too long at one time... and alternating.

Hope that helps. I know that is so painful. Feel better soon.
