Hi,

Since we all know that people with lyme and co. have been misdiagnosed with a large variety of illnesses, I've been wondering if Michael J Fox ever saw a good LLMD to rule out Lyme when he was receiving his Parkinson's diagnosis.

We probably have no way of knowing that, but I still wonder.

He was supposedly diagnosed with lyme 3 years before he was diagnosed with Parkinsons.

I've never found anything convincing to substantiate that as anything more than a rumor.

This is interesting. I don't know who the actor is but this discusses Parkinsons and lyme.

Hi Terry,

That was a very interesting article, thanks!

I really enjoy Dr S's articles.

I worry about all the people who have lyme, don't know it, and won't have a chance of recovery.

I had heard a story on TV years ago about how a group of people from the same TV show that he was in had all developed early parkinsons..It was before he was famous and I think it was in Canada???

This is just from my neuro-lyme-brain memory, though!!

Wow soonermom, I am stunned!

I bet every single one of those people have lyme!!! They probably all hung out somewhere together during filming and got infected.

Thanks so much for sending those links!

I read an article somewhere online where he did admit he had Lyme...

Back then they may not have considered it to be a big deal and unfortunately they did not know what it all leads to if untreated or unreported.

Today they just dont admit to it but they know.

I also read an article online last night that said MJF did have lyme years ago and took antibiotics for 3 weeks!

He very probably has lyme induced Parkinson's. It would be such a shame if that is true and he doesn't know it.

It would be nice, if his foundation's website had an email to write on. [Smile]

I have also read an article where he admitted he had lyme and said that it's hard to believe such a little bug [a tick] could cause such horrible issues and that he did find the tick on him, etc., etc...

I have also heard, but may be a rumor, that he knows he has lyme... but is being the poster boy for Parkinson's for the money.... That's just what I've heard... but like I said, could be a rumor more than anything else, but who knows.

I can't imagine that if he knew he had chronic lyme that he would not be undergoing aggressive treatment and also advocate for chronic lyme patients.

We sure could use him on our side.

I am going to call his foundation and ask how I can be sure he will receive a letter and information that I will send him.
