I got very specific instructions from my doctor. I had my colonoscopy on a Thursday. I had instructions starting with the Monday before the colonoscopy. Drinking the gallon of fluid is hard but it's a very worthwhile test to have done.
Good Luck!

The doctor doing the colonoscopy should give you specific instructions for what you can and can't eat and drink in the few days before your colonoscopy.
I can't remember how mine was, but a couple days before I could only eat things like Jello and broth, then that evening I had to take some kind of a laxative-type thing.
The day before I was only to drink liquids (and only certain kinds, nothing caffeinated or with certain color dyes, as well as another kind of laxative thing.
So I would say that you would not be able to do your antibiotics during the prep.
There should be enough in your system though to take you through those few days, then you'd probably be right back on them after the test.

Once you have to stop eating solids, you have to stop taking abx.
Do not use the Phospho Soda [tiny plastic bottle].. It now has a black box warning on it. It can cause kidney damage, and it threw my heart into A-fib.
